The availability crisis of semiconductors is also affecting the Digi-Trolley™ project. An important component of the decoder, the voltage regulator, is not available until further notice, and there is no replacement type for this very innovative component. The manufacturer currently states a delivery date of the end of April 2022 – unfortunately, the only solution is to wait.
Our planned demonstration dates in October were trade fairs for end consumers. It makes little sense to show a product that will be available six months later at the earliest. That’s why we cancelled these dates and are now focussing on the Nuremberg Toy Fair in February 2022 – at least we can hopefully make contacts with retailers there and find distribution channels for the Digital Trolleybus.
Update: The new delivery date is now February 2023 – we will also have to reconsider our participation in the toy fair 2022 …
